Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children for the part of the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had the same family as a blended one. The five-year run of The Brady Bunch was an enormous success. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she nearly lost her virginity due to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams.
